Drop-In Classes

Drop in classes (also known as mind/body/spirit classes) offer a wide variety of healthy skill building such as cooking classes, yoga, mindful eating, stress reduction, body image, and much more.  We believe these practices to be integral to overall health and wellness, including healthy weight management. 

Class times vary from 45 - 75 minutes in length and the cost is $25 per class.  Unlimited classes are included in the individual weight loss coaching  fee, and are incorporated into that program.  Feel free to drop in for any class, but please make sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early to get settled before class begins.

All classes for this month are listed below in calendar form, and there are descriptions of each class under the calendar.  If you are interested in a class, but have questions about it, please feel free to contact us.

Mindful Eating – This class teaches (and provides the opportunity to practice) being mindful and aware while eating.  Mindful eating is a proven and effective tool for reducing binge eating and compulsive overeating.  Every woman must bring her own lunch. (Led by Siri Khalsa-Zemel)

“The Practice” – “The Practice” is a simple stretching and breathing technique, designed by Frederic.  This class is appropriate for women at every physical level. (Led by Frederic Leyd)

Pressure Point Routine – Pressure points are most commonly used in the practices of acupuncture and acupressure.  This class teaches each woman how to press on her own pressure points. (Led by Frederic Leyd)

Relaxation and Meditation – This class offers teh time to unwind, calm down, center the self, and enjoy peace.  (Patty)

Restorative Yoga & Meditation Workshop – This speacial New Year’s Eve event is a great alternative to going places you don’t want to be and eating and drinking things you don’t want to have!  This is a very peaceful, restful, and indulgent opportunity to treat yourself with great care and nurturance.  (Patty)

The Divine Feminine – This is a very special 45 minutes that focuses on the essence of woman – the divine feminine.  Re-learn that your strength and power as a woman comes from your sensitivity, your emotional self, and your wholeness.  Remember that you are not broken and in need of fixing, but have only to practice acceptance and assertiveness to explore and express your true essence as a woman.  Based on teachings from “In the Light of the Moon” by Dr. Anita Johnston.  (Dr. Wills) 

Yoga – This 60 minute yoga session is for beginners and intermediate level students, and is tailored for all size bodies and all levels of fitness.  (Led by Patty Dougherty)
